Spider!!!!

So last night we went to a youth summit in Lakeside, CA at Brother Bertram's church. Brother Shoemake preached a very awesome (and lengthy) message about revival. At the very beginning of the message Erica felt so inclined to tell me that there was a spider in the girls' hair in front of me. Anyone who knows me, knows my completely irrational and consuming fear of these little beasts. So of course, I am on the defensive immediately, looking around for the little buggers near me. Anywhere there is ONE spider, there are LOTS more!!!! Well. This spider wasn't happy in the girls hair...it had to FLY, yes FLY to this guys hair in front of me. Flip out time. That was all I could see. Nothing else existed other than the white dot on the black hair in front of me. There were four of us enthralled by this stupid beast and I couldn't concentrate on the service. So I wrote a note after about thirty minutes for Josh to hand to the kid's mom: "Sis, your son has a spider in his hair. -Bekki" Well, Josh wouldn't give it to her. So I am paralyzed once again by the white dot. (And it really was just a dot, not large at all). Finally, I pray that God kills the spider, it moves out of my line of sight and I concentrate on the preaching. After church, I am sitting in the seat where the kid was (completely not remembering the arachnid) and FLIPPED when I realized where I was. They failed to tell me that the beast had woven itself a parachute and flew away (away from us, thanks to Josh blowing on it) before altar call. Erica will post her take on this situation later, but I just had to write something about it. Creepy crawling spiders are not of God.
